This is one of two lions of the lions gate waiting for you to pass it. It's in Freising on the Weihenstephan hill, on the campus of my university. That's why you enter it every day when you have lectures or projects at the HSWT. In bavaria you can find lots of lions as figures, pictures or even on the bavarian flag, because the lion is one symbol of bavaria. Furthermore lions have different symbolic meanings in many countries.
