The corresponding images represent the landscape of Gliwice, Poland, a city I immigrated to 10 years ago.

TOP LEFT - A bench facing away from the Kłodnica River, which runs through the heart of the city. The bench is one of the few remnants left from the city's communist past.

TOP RIGHT - A sculpture from the 1830's. It was moved from the old steel mill, which it once sat in front of, to the city center.

BOTTOM RIGHT - Newly painted "Merge" arrows on an on-ramp to the new inter-city highway (DTS) that links the Silesian region.

BOTTOM LEFT - The old wire factory which currently acts as a cultural venue for concerts and exhibitions.
