  • the challenge is to combine the needs of all the different cultures /lifestyles of the inhabitants of a certain landscape. young people want to play in a public space, other people want to pray, etc. The challenge is to make everybody feel "cozy"
  • prevent segregation and discrimination and promote interaction, create sense of identity, collaboration within professional figures and citizens
  • to give the right to experience the landscape to everyone, give them possibility to build her/his image of it, to share it and to be able to act in changing it
  • To convince the authorities that the right of decision belongs to citizens
  • the only way to defend landscape is to provide boundaries
  • the satisfaction of all natives
  • power inequalities, top-down decision making
  • rules has to be made and agreed - long process for people to accept
  • religion is the main challenge...!
  • freedom/choice/equal rights
  • discrimination, social classes, identity, accessibility.
  • creating a "green city"
  • politics, land ownership and descrimination
  • to make all "happy" and no one has be lost their opinions -> no discrimination
  • reale estate values - rising with the quality of landscape and consequently excluding some
  • there isn't proper place, everything is related to those who live
  • Cooperation, respect for common goods.
  • It is very easy to green a land but the challenge is to create green minds to interact with nature the right way
  • inculde the ideas of the people
  • the more designed a space is, the more difficult it will be to change it and adapt it to changing demographics
  • Any kind of discrimination would deprive some layers of the society from Right to Landscape
  • To be sure to hear eveyone's voice/ Would the background (educational and ..) of people be importatn?

  • We must be more active and committed as citizens and professionals

  • Some challenges I think of can be - for example that it's a lot of different people with different meanings. We also must think of the Nature..
  • The common point between citizens, government and landscape architect is very important.
  • confused bewteen the right to landscape and the right to public space ? is landscape public space ? what are the specific skills of the landscape professional to adress these issues? does it mean bringin more nature into public spaces?
  • People's different cultures and backgrounds. They would want different rights, these could be accepted by some and not accepted by others.
