--> Back to Food for Thought Overview

  • I think that if the tree is the unit, where is people gonna gather? I'm not sure that this design helps democracy
  • the symbol unit(=person) and democracy(=population) is really clear , but I don't know if it can work
  • look like this is a public space where everything is decided top-down but it would be better to look the process... the landscape is "edited" by people
  • it is very difficult to judge a project in a specific culture...I personally know that noth african citizens use natural landcape as a *place for holydays.... and free time.... public space is dressed for free time here
  • it mix nature and the man necessity for order
  • I love the quote! it has a very inspirational meaning leading to democracy
  • make awareness or reminds democracy
  • in middle east squares has a great role in city design.... this is a place to bring people together. and we had experienced lots of time *the start of major protests was from main squares, that is why they destroyed the main square of Bahrain after some protest
  • the concept of the design sounds good but the way that how they applied ,To me is a it not organized !
  • designers aid democracy, but democracy is made only by people
  • It is also important which are the need of the people.
  • trees for people
  • It does not make any new addition because this square does not need a redesign or development
  • the design is very geometric, but it looks really fascinating
  • a garden also has rules, otherwise the strongest plants would take over
  • an eyesore
  • I can be pleasant for summer days
  • depends on how much variety of use and users it has
  • its not clear! is it traditional there? or what is the relation between this space and the identity of people and place?
  • I'm not sure how dense is it, however, the idea should bring a pleasant space to be
  • maybe it works in it's context? in my context this looks just wacked
  • it's important because the design It allows us to live in a nice place, it's not indifferent for peace
  • The recognition that all voices are necessary
  • It creates an open space for the public to visit and be active withing. It symbolizes newness and opportunity for growth.
  • the design helps people to integrate on space and give that identity
  • it projects the present to the future. it is designed by the culture
  • It's special and creative. But I think there should be more open space.
  • The concept of the project focuses more on the design than on the people. People are the democracy, the design should deal with their behaviour in such events.
  • it forms a interesting area to visit, however i'm not convinced that only trees give a place that everyone appreciates
  • maybe the trees represent the standing people
