• There are a lot of groups within our focus area. These groups can be seen in the community grouping circle. This also shows how close these are connected with the river Moosach.
• From the community grouping circle we picked a few groups to focus on.

Theory Reflection

• • For Landscape Democracy to achieve its full potential, education must be re-envisioned to offer future design and planning professionals to test their skills in recognizing challenges, opportunities and ethically and responsibly intervene to shape a socially sustainable. ​
    • Didactic Formats fostering the development of competencies and transformative learning. The experimental character of projects allows for making mistakes. (within the protected space of the university) as an essential part in the process of learning.​

• 

  I personalized Moosach as a raunchy little boy, who is not paid much attention but who is gentle and cares about the species which live there.

• 

  There is no real connection between people who live here and the river. The reason is that its only a few point which are inviting to get to the watersurface.

• 

  In the city water still acts in this way. Centuries passed by and the wold has changed,but still, this is how we deal with waterbodies.

• 

  Or like this. Pressed under buildings.

• 

  We build our settlements near water, and then form it in the way we like it.

• 

  We take the services the river can give us, but do not think about its "needs", however its even in our interest to do so.

• 

  QUESTION!: To the ones, who live in the city, or next to the river. Would you make sacrifices to make room for the river? Would you be able to make compromises? It's in your best interest too.

Phase D: Collaborative Design, Transformation and Planning

Your Prototyping Action

Our prototype focusses on creating a connection between the people of Freising and the food they eat. By creating a new walking path from the city of Freising to the small town of Pulling. This path will come across multiple points, where interesting things can be seen. It goes through agricultural area, so that the people can see where their food is grown.

The Plan Behind Your Prototyping Action

  Starting point of the route.

• 

  Creating and improving the active mobility infrastructure next to the Moosach river.

•

  Remeandering the Moosach river, giving the river it's natural shape back.

• 

  Offering new forms of agriculture, that reduce CO2 emissions.

• 

  Creating a nice crossing for the river Moosach.

• 

  Creating a foodforest, where people can come and collect food and grow it together.

• 

  Creating a nice crossing for the Westtangente road.

• 

  Adding the route on to existing walking paths.

• 

  Reforming the cross junction in the city centre, to become a nice entrance plaza for the main street of Freising.

  Ending the route at the city centre, Marienplatz.
